I read on reddit the tag recommendations for itch.io. And added “hentai” and “porn” to the existing ones. And that gave me a x2 boost in views.

Zoidberg + Marianne animation details

I've already animated a girl in spine2d for Dungeon Harem. Then I had a suspicion that the problem is that I lack practical skills. I just don't know what buttons to press, where to tie bones, how to make a grid on a sprite. So I took a cool animation and I'm just repeating it.

 

I will now summarise the first iteration so that the next iteration will be easier for me.

Tips for Krita:

  1. For the first image I oriented on the picture from the author's preview, but I should have taken a frame from the animation - they turned out to be different and this in the middle of the process interfered. Besides, you have to choose a frame where you can see the characters as much detail as possible.
  2. At first I tried splitting the Sfan image, but I didn't like the result and decided to draw the reference image myself.
  3. I have a graphics tablet, but that wasn't enough. First I drew by hand, then I drew with a bezier curve in a bitmap layer, then with a bezier curve in a vector layer. And at the very end I learned that you can paint with a stabilised brush.
  4. At the beginning of work it is necessary to define on what parts the body will be divided for animation. And draw immediately in these layers. So as not to waste time on the division of the body then. For example, shin, thigh and so on.


Tips for Spine2d:

  1. I turned the reference animation from the video into a gif using LICEcap. Trimmed the gif and saved it as separate frames using Aseprite. In Spine, added this animation to the second skeleton using frame sequencing.
  2. The bone attachment points are easier to adjust by looking in the Preview window.
  3. Next time I'll use more constrains instead of a lot of intermediate frames. Maybe this will remove the unnecessary frame shake.
  4. I'll try to use physical constraints for the chest.

Learning to draw

In May 2024, I drew a girl for the Dungeon harem game.

You can see that she has no hands and feet. That's because I didn't know how to draw them.

In August, I bought a book called How to Draw Manga in Simple Steps by Yishan Li: 

You can see the results of my exercises:










This practice helped my draw a girl for the game Magic Words.

Later I found out that Yishan Li is the illustrator of the hottest comic series Swing.
